Havila Fleet

Ship Information

Havila is the name of a family-owned Norwegian shipping company sailing along the Norwegia Coast between Beren and Kirkenes. The company operates four environmentally friendly ships and runs on alternate days with Hurtigruten.

For a short time, Havila's coastal cruise ship serves as your home away from home. You'll be staying, sleeping, and eating here. And we want you to have a good time.

We welcome you onboard our ships, which feature décor inspired by Norwegian landscapes such as the sea, sky, mountains, and glaciers. Natural materials and Nordic design create a warm, genuine, and unpretentious atmosphere that will put you at ease. We've made sure that you can take in the scenery from the ship's many public areas. The best views of the Norwegian coastline are provided by comfortable seats and panoramic windows.

The remarkable Havila fleet has modern features that allow them to sail through the fjords without noise or emissions.

The world's largest battery packs
Four hours' sailing with zero emissions
Energy-efficient hull design
Locally sourced ingredients
Heat recovery from the sea and cooling water
Charging current from hydropower at the quay
Liquid natural gas that cuts Co2 emissions by 25 %

The batteries are charged with clean hydropower ashore. When the batteries are low, the ship switches to natural gas, thus cutting CO2 by around 25%. The hull is designed for maximum energy efficiency.
