Tomorrow morning we will start our tour of Norway's Fjords. Overnight in Bergen (B)

Day 3  : Bergen - Flåm – Loen

After breakfast, depart by coach for Voss, a small town nestled by a pretty lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Here you will board a train which takes you up to the mountain plateau and the village of Myrdal where you change trains and take the world famous Flåm railway, today's highlight. Enjoy a spectacular rail journey which transports you from Myrdal at 867 meters, descending to the Flåm village at sea level in only 20 km. You will have some free time in Flåm to explore this charming village on your own.  Later, we embark on the afternoon ferry to Gudvangen, cruising out the Aurlandsfjord and in through the Nærøyfjord, two branches of the famous Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway.  We leave the ferry in Gudvangen and continue by coach through one of the longest tunnels in Norway to Lærdal, and north to Skei. We arrive in Loen in the afternoon, beautifully situated between mountains, lakes, and fjords. Our hotel is the prestigious Alexandra Hotel in Loen. Overnight in Loen.  (B, D)

Day 4  : Loen – Briksdal Glacier – Geiranger

After breakfast, depart for a tour of the Briksdal Glacier, an arm of Jostedal Glacier, Europe's largest. We travel to the foot of the glacier by small motorized "troll cars," walking the last distance to the snout of the glacier. You'll experience the breathtaking blue ice and crevasses, and later have some free time for lunch on your own. We leave Loen in the afternoon, continuing through the mountains to a well-known observation point, Dalsnibba, at 1476 meters above sea level. Here you have a spectacular view of the Geiranger Fjord below. (please note that the visit to Dalsnibba is permissible only in good weather, it is not guaranteed). After this photo opportunity, continue down to Geiranger and your hotel.  You are invited on a special tour before dinner, visiting the Mjelva family's veteran car collection. Some of these cars were used to drive tourists around the Geiranger area in the 1920's and 1930's, and they are still in excellent condition. Overnight in Geiranger. (B, D)

Day 5  : Geiranger

After breakfast, we depart on the ferry and cruise the length of the Geiranger Fjord, from Geiranger to Hellesylt. The fjord is on UNESCO's World Heritage List, and the unspoiled landscape with lush, steep mountains and numerous waterfalls will inspire you.  After arriving in Hellesylt, we continue north to Trollstigen, one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway.  We'll drive the 11 hairpin turns on this dramatic stretch of road, winding our way through 100 km of this incredible landscape. (Weather permitting, road closures can occur). We will stop for lunch en-route, (not included) and return to our hotel in Geiranger in the late afternoon. Overnight in Geiranger. (B, D)

Day 6  : Geiranger - Oslo

We depart Geiranger by coach after breakfast, for the capital, Oslo.  On the way, we stop in Lom to admire the oldest wooden stave church in Norway, dating from the 12th century. We arrive Oslo in the late afternoon. Overnight in Oslo. (B, D)
