We’d never done a tour before, but this sounded like a good way to see St. Petersburg, which everyone RAVES about. The “cruise” part of the tour was forgettable (food was quite mediocre, there were frequent announcements on the loud speaker, first in Russian then – supposedly – in English but after “Ladies and Gentlemen” it was mostly unintelligible. Getting off the ship in both Helsinki and St. Petersburg took a very long time and seemed disorganized, but perhaps that isn’t a problem the cruise line can address. BUT then we started the tour in St. Petersburg! We were a congenial group of six Americans, with a very nice Mercedes van and driver who was with us for the entire three days.

Our first kudos go to Susie Main who was extremely accommodating and helped us to book an amazing tour. She was very patient with questions and very thorough – a big thank you to her! .This small group tour of 12 with Thor as our driver/guide was amazing and even better than we had hoped it could be! The vehicle was perfect as well as the Itinerary and we saw Northern lights a bunch of nights with Friday 27th being a spectacular event! Thor was the perfect guide and made all of the difference. He was extremely helpful with taking photographs of the Northern Lights and filled with so much great information. He couldn't be any more accommodating. The Itinerary was perfect – I can't think of a thing that I would change .

Thank you very much for arranging our tours of Scandinavia and Russia.  We really enjoyed the services provided by Borealis Destination Management, most of all our tour leader, Mirjana.  I learned a lot in Russia from Masha and Natasha.  The transportation arrangements went smoothly and we enjoyed the variety of types of travel.  The accommodations were very good.   We were fortunate that we traveled with interesting and pleasant people.  All in all, my husband and I had a fantastic trip.  Thanks for putting it together. – Christina Ferguson

Flights, trains, private vehicles, meet/greet, airport pick ups/transfers, boats, 5 star hotel accommodations, private guides tours all done by Bobby for our 5 country tour. We started in Japan, across all of Russia and ended in the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Sweden & Norway. The travel and accommodations on this tour were terrific, and the travel guides were very knowledgeable. I believe I truly got a lot for my money. The only suggestion I would have is perhaps giving tour guests a printed itinerary the night before so they can better plan for the upcoming day's events. – Diane Grant -

We joined the 72 hour visa-free tour of St Petersburg – and it was fantastic! Our guide, Maria, was brilliant organising and directing us in all our activities. We visited so many interesting sights and heard a wealth of information – really felt we made the very most of our time there. We would highly recommend this tour. – Sue Kennedy -
