Itinerary:

The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, is a belt of light that encircles the geomagnetic poles. The Lofoten area is one of the best places to view the Northern Lights. Our guide will take you out to the best spots to experience this amazing nature phenomenon. The constant change of weather in the Lofoten islands creates magnificent light conditions inspiring many local and international artists that are drawn to this area. You will enjoy the results of this inspiration in many local art and photo galleries, as well as at the blacksmith's and the weaver's, or in the local glass, ice and ceramic workshops.

Winter is perfect for those who wish to get acquainted with the authentic atmosphere of the Norwegian fishing villages and the magical northern lights that would often flicker in the night sky. The greatest pleasure is actually just being there and experiencing amazing peace and tranquility of winter Lofoten. Watch the fish being hung out on the drying racks. Enjoy life in the harbor, have a "skreimølje" dinner and enjoy this local cod dish. Chat to the local fishermen in one of the pubs. You can stay in a traditional fishermen cabin (rorbu) or in a hotel, enjoy cozy local bars and pubs, three peaceful days filled with interesting conversations, good wine, delicious food and amazing new experiences.

Among winter activities are nature and seabird watching, northern lights hunt, fishing, winter sea kayaking and snowshoe hiking and photo safari.
