Small Group Walking Tour (2 hours)
Join a small group for a guided 3-kilometer (1.8 miles) walk through Copenhagen, perfect for first-time visitors! Explore the city's top highlights while learning about Denmark’s fascinating history, from its medieval control of Scandinavia to why bicycles rule the streets today. Your guide will share interesting stories and provide tips for exploring Copenhagen further. At the end of the walk, you’ll receive a map and recommendations for continuing your adventure, whether it’s a canal tour, a drink in Nyhavn, or finding your way back to your hotel.

Grand Day Trip Around Copenhagen (9 hours)
On this small-group tour, you'll spend a day exploring historic sites outside Copenhagen. Visit Kronborg Castle, known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, and Frederiksborg Castle, the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia. You'll also see Roskilde Cathedral, the resting place of many Danish kings and queens, before heading to the Viking Ship Museum to learn about how the Vikings built their ships. Hotel pick-up and drop-off in Copenhagen are included.

COPENHAGEN TOUR ENDS HERE or CONTINUE TO OSLO:  Afternoon transfer by coach from hotel to DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise by ferry to Oslo, departing at 16:30. Enjoy your first Scandinavian smörgåsbord dinner as you cruise gently up the Kattegat,, a sea area located between Denmark and Sweden, forming part of the connection between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

Before reaching Oslo, breakfast is served on board.  Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel on your own. In the afternoon, meet your guide for a private walking tour of Oslo and Vigeland Park.

Explore the highlights of Oslo on a guided city tour starting with a hotel pick-up. Oslo’s compact city center makes it perfect for strolling and sightseeing.
Tour Highlights Include: Karl Johans gate: The city's main street bustling with life, Aker Brygge: a vibrant waterfront area with shops and restaurants, Old Town Christiania: a glimpse into Oslo’s historic roots, Akershus Castle and Fortress:, a medieval fortress with stunning views. City Hall and the Royal Palace from the outside. Take a scenic tram ride through Frogner, one of Oslo's most charming neighborhoods, to reach Vigeland Park. Embark on a beautiful journey through Norway's countryside and breathtaking fjords. Highlights include a ride on the world-famous Flåm Railway, the scenic Bergen Railway, views of the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, and the thrilling hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva.

Your day starts early with a scenic ride on the Bergen Railway, passing through the Hallingdal Valley, the town of Geilo, and across a stunning mountain plateau to Myrdal. From there, you'll board the Flåm Railway, which descends 2,840 feet over 12 miles into the dramatic Flåm Valley, offering views of waterfalls, cliffs, and charming villages. Once you arrive in Flåm, it’s a short walk to your hotel.

Your main luggage will be transported directly from your Oslo hotel to your Bergen hotel, so you’ll only need a small overnight bag for this leg of the journey.

Walk to the pier, and board a boat that embarks on a voyage across the Aurlandsfjord. This fjord, a branch of the Sognefjord, with majestic towering cliffs, serene waters, and charming villages tucked into the landscape. Upon reaching Balestrand, disembark at the pier. Your hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll away, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings before checking in.

Sognefjord in a Nutshell
In the morning, walk back to the pier and take another beautiful cruise on the Sognefjord, passing waterfalls, small towns, and farms. Arrive in Bergen Harbor (Bryggen). Then, take a short stroll to your hotel.

Floibanen Mountain Cable Car
Escape the city by taking the funicular to Mount Floyen for panoramic views of the fjord-side city and its famous seven mountains. It's also a great place to watch the sunset! The journey up to the peak of Mount Fløyen (320 m above sea level) takes 5–8 minutes and is an experience in itself, cutting through the steep mountainside and forests and revealing more of the city below.

Guided Food & Cultural Walk (3 hours)
Use all of your senses to experience Bergen. This tour will teach you about Bergen's history and culture, as well as the flavors of local cuisine. Bergen is included in UNESCO's list of inventive cities for foodies. Your local guide will lead you around the historic district of the city, and there will be five stops along the way where you can sample the local fare. We'll go to Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a locally owned little restaurant will offer a nice meal for lunch. The final stop will be in the oldest cellar still in existence in Norway, with a unique tale and a beer.

NORWAY TOUR ENDS HERE or CONTINUE TO STOCKHOLM:  Today you will fly to Stockholm, which many people regard as the most picturesque capital in Scandinavia. Upon arrival in Stockholm, transfer to the hotel on your own.

Walking Tour of Stockholm (6 hours)
Throughout the tour, you’ll experience a blend of Stockholm’s medieval heritage, royal history, and contemporary life. It’s an ideal introduction to this fascinating capital of Sweden. Begin your walking tour in Gamla Stan, the heart of Stockholm, where cobblestone streets wind through a maze of colorful, centuries-old buildings. Here, you’ll find historic landmarks and charming alleys. As you explore, stop by Stortorget Square, the oldest square in the city, surrounded by well-preserved merchant houses. It’s the perfect place to appreciate the medieval atmosphere.  From Stortorget, make your way to the Royal Palace, one of the largest and most impressive in Europe. Admire its grand architecture and lush surroundings. A few steps from the palace to Storkyrkan, Stockholm’s medieval cathedral. Its striking façade and interior, with beautiful stained glass and the famous sculpture of Saint George and the Dragon, offer a glimpse into the city’s religious and artistic heritage. Next, head to Mårten Trotzigs Gränd, one of the narrowest alleys in Stockholm. At just 90 cm wide, it’s a quirky and atmospheric spot to explore. This hidden gem gives you a feel for Stockholm’s medieval past. Stroll through the charming streets of Gamla Stan toward the Nobel Museum. While you may not have time to fully explore, a quick stop will introduce you to the Nobel Prize’s fascinating history, with exhibits showcasing the accomplishments of laureates in fields like science, literature, and peace. Leaving Gamla Stan behind, head to the picturesque Strandvägen street along the waterfront. Enjoy the views of the city’s islands and grand 19th-century buildings. Take a moment to relax and appreciate the vibrant energy of Stockholm’s urban life and natural beauty as you walk along the water. Explore Stockholm Art scene on the Stockholm Subway and Vasa Museum. Subway is an exciting way to explore the city’s underground art scene. Often referred to as the "World’s Longest Art Gallery", the Stockholm metro system features over 90 stations adorned with sculptures, murals, mosaics, and other artworks by more than 150 artists. The Vasa Museum is primarily known for its impressive 17th-century warship. It also explores art and history, with many artifacts showcasing the art of the time.

STOCKHOLM TOUR ENDS HERE or CONTINUE TO HELSINKI: In the afternoon take a short taxi ride to the pier, for your overnight cruise by ferry to Helsinki. Depart from Stockholm, sailing slowly through the glorious archipelago past numerous small islands.

Helsinki Walking Tour with a Private Guide (3.5 hours)
Explore many aspects of the Finland's capital: modern urban life, historical landmarks, and natural beauty. Start with the Senate Square, the heart of Helsinki's historic district., with elegant buildings, including the Government Palace and the University of Helsinki. Take a short walk to Market Square and Esplanadi Park, located along the harbor. Explore the lively market filled with Finnish delicacies, fresh produce, and handicrafts.  A short walk from Market Square tou will see the stunning Uspenski Cathedral, an imposing red-brick Orthodox church topped with gold onion domes. It offers panoramic views of the harbor and a glimpse into Finland's Russian heritage. You will also visit the iconic Temppeliaukio Church, a modern masterpiece uniquely carved into solid rock. Head to Sibelius Park, dedicated to Finland's most famous composer, Jean Sibelius. Susie, thanks for all your arrangements for the trip I took with my sister to Norway, Sweden and Finland. The hotels were well-located, all the transportation worked fine, and we saw lots of beautiful sights and had fun adventures. The only thing we could have done differently would have been to have more time everywhere!
