This tour of Greenland takes you to Qaqortoq and Narsarsuaq.

Qaqortoq, with its population of over 3000, is the biggest town in South Greenland. It is ocated near the big lake "Storesøen" with rising mountains as a backdrop. Qaqortoq is a student town full of life for most of the year. This is also where FIFA has decided to sponsor the only grass covered soccer field in Greenland. Old Colony houses reflect the history of the town, while new big modern houses rise along the cliff wall, all with splendid views over the open sea.

Narsarsuaq is the place with historic sites from the Viking Age, deep blue fjords, icebergs and glaciers, mountains with sheep farms - all within short range from your hotel. It offers the most diverse excursion program in Greenland: hiking tours to the Inland Ice Cap, Viking ruins, iceberg and glacier cruises, tiny Greenlandic settlements and towns.

Narsarsuaq has a thriving cultural life, popularized by the local artist Aka Høgh who led the Stone & Man project in the 1990s. 18 artists from all over Scandinavia carved 24 sculptures into the rock faces and boulders and transformed the town into an open-air art gallery.
