Greenland Winter Highlights: Nuuk and Sisimiut
This was my first trip to Greenland, and it became my favorite experience. Everything felt authentic and unspoiled. Seeing the sled dogs up close and learning about their importance to local life was fascinating. Hotel Sisimiut was very comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere and excellent food. The staff always went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It was a winter vacation unlike any other.

Bill & I wanted to say thank you for helping plan such a great itinerary for visiting Iceland and Scandinavia. We had a wonderful time. The highlight for us was Stockholmn and reconnecting with our exchange student Ylva. The central location of Downtown Camper worked out great for us.
Although, we were not a big fan of the Downtown Camper due to our room being like a cave - the darkest hotel room we've ever stayed in. (The room was quiet, which is always my number one qualification for a hotel.) There were minor complaints about some of our hotels during the trip but the locations were always a winner and helped make our travel so much easier.
We also loved our time in Iceland. We absolutely loved the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and the Westfjords. My favorite place we stayed at was Hotel Latrabjarg near the birding cliffs. I really felt we'd gotten away from civilization but I still had my hot shower in the morning and wifi! Bill's favorite place was the little town of Stykkisholmur where we had a fabulous gourmet dinner there at the Fosshotel (which was totally unexpected).
The attached picture is of us in Oslo at the Vigelandsparken. The picture was taken by our friend Jay (and Louise Hecht) during the absolutely wonderful weather we experienced in Oslo and most of Scandinavia. Thanks again for helping create such happy memories!

Loved that the driver from Stockholm to Copenhagen helped them find the family farm to drive by for a photo op!
