Iceland Grand Discovery
Amazing trip overall. I was a little nervous about the trip when you have to drive independently in a new unknown country, but we were not disappointed as we enjoyed the freedom to drive at our own pace, and pick which sights to see. Plenty of stops for fantastic landscapes and adventures. We did horse riding, and a small cruise on a glacier lagoon. Simply fantastic. Will absolutely have Nordic Saga Tours on our short list for the future trips.

Dora, you were amazing from start to finish! Everything was so well organized, and we always felt that you were watching our backs. Your quick responses, attention to every detail, and help with unexpected flight changes made us feel completely taken care of. Knowing that you were there for us whenever we needed help—almost like having 24/7 support—gave us great peace of mind. Thank you for creating such a wonderful Greenland adventure and making the whole experience stress-free and unforgettable.
Iceland Ring Road and Greenland
I want to thank you again for arranging the trip. We really enjoyed Iceland and Greenland. I already told you that we enjoyed Kari's company very much. He is such a nice person besides being a great guide.
You asked me to let you know about the Reykjavik Saga hotel. It is very nice and nicely located. The staff was very helpful. I would certainly stay there again. We did walk by the Hotel Holt where you had wanted us to stay .Also a good location.
As for Greenland the scenery is spectacular. The Hotel Arctic is very nice but it is out of town. There is a bus that runs on a schedule and also taxis so you can get into town easily but Diane would have preferred to be in town. We did have dinner at two of the hotels in town and both were very good.
The overnight stay at Ilimanaq might have been the highpoint of the stay. We were suppose to leave on the 11am boat to return to Ilulissat . However, that was cancelled due to the weather and we stayed until 5. That gave us the day there and that was great. That day was Greenland National day and the village had a barbeque that we were invited to join. It was a nice way to meet the people. Also gave us time to do a walk . The bungalows are very nice with wonderful views and we were able to use it for the day. The dinner there was very good.
Diane decided not to go to the Blue Lagoon so we didn't need to stay at the Northern Lights Inn for the last night. We would have preferred to be in Reykjavik. I had told her that the Blue Lagoon was very touristy and we met some people who had gone there and they didn't enjoy it. I suggested to Diane that she go to thermal pools in towns along our route as they are in most towns so that worked out very well. She did that on a couple of evenings.
The Northern Lights Inn is okay, not as nice as the other hotels that we stayed in but adequate. It is fairly close to the airport which makes it convenient.
We were lucky with the weather overall. Sunny most of the time.
All in all it was a great trip. We spoke to people who had visited South Greenland and that might be an interesting place to visit. I might consider that on another trip !! Thank you so much!
