Begin in the historic center, where you’ll stroll through the cobblestone streets of the old city. The first stop is usually City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen), a bustling hub where you can admire the grand Copenhagen City Hall and its impressive clock tower. From here, you’ll walk down the famous Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, lined with shops, cafes, and street performers. Next, you’ll visit Nyhavn, the picturesque waterfront district known for its colorful 17th-century townhouses and historic wooden ships docked along the canal. This iconic area was once home to Hans Christian Andersen, and it’s a perfect spot for photos. The tour continues to the Amalienborg Palace, the royal family’s winter residence. Here, you might witness the changing of the guard, a traditional ceremony performed daily. Nearby is the Frederik’s Church, also known as the Marble Church, with its impressive dome that dominates the city skyline. As you make your way through the city, you’ll also pass by The Little Mermaid, Copenhagen’s most famous statue, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable guide will share stories and insights about Copenhagen’s history, culture, and architecture, giving you a deeper understanding of the city. You’ll learn about the city’s evolution from a Viking fishing village to a modern, cosmopolitan capital, and discover hidden gems that you might otherwise miss.

Our private food tour, just in time for lunch, is a perfect introduction to both Copenhagen and Danish cuisine. Pass by top Copenhagen attractions while trying 6 tastings of traditional foods that you might otherwise have overlooked, such as hotdogs and Danish pastries. Don’t worry about wasting time getting lost either, as your local foodie host helps you navigate and provides insider tips. mcid=56757

In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of three spectacular castles north of Copenhagen. We’ll depart from Copenhagen and journey along the scenic Riviera road to Helsingør. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Øresund Strait, with the Swedish coast visible in the distance. Our first stop is Kronborg Castle, known in English as Elsinore, which guards the entrance to the Øresund Strait. It’s one of northern Europe's best-preserved Renaissance castles and is the most famous Danish castle, made legendary by Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The castle is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Next, we visit Frederiksborg Castle, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. The castle’s grandeur is sure to leave you in awe, both inside and out, with its stunning interior and remarkable gardens. Built by the legendary Danish King Christian IV, Frederiksborg is the epitome of Renaissance craftsmanship.

We’ll also make a photo stop at Fredensborg Palace, the summer residence of the Danish Royal Family. An English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the tour, providing insights into the history and significance of each castle. Lunch and beverages can be purchased during the tour. Please note that there will be a significant amount of walking on uneven surfaces and stairs, so practical shoes are recommended.
