The museum houses the Kon-Tiki raft, which Heyerdahl used for his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands. Heyerdahl's journey on the Kon-Tiki demonstrated that prehistoric people could have traveled across vast oceanic distances and potentially influenced the cultures of different islands. In addition to the Kon-Tiki raft, the museum also displays other vessels and artifacts from Heyerdahl's expeditions, including the Ra II, used to sail across the Atlantic Ocean, and exhibits related to Easter Island and other Polynesian cultures. The museum provides a fascinating insight into the history of exploration and adventure.

The Fram Museum is dedicated to the polar exploration vessel Fram, which was used by Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, and Roald Amundsen in their expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Fram was specially designed to withstand the pressure of the ice and was used in some of the most significant polar expeditions in history. Just wanted to drop a note to let you know Lori and I had a wonderful trip! We saw and did so many interesting things- what a beautiful part of the world. Everything went smoothly except for our return trip home, which was impacted by Irene. We ended up being stuck in Copenhagen for a few extra days, but we made the best of it! Thanks so much for all of your help and guidance. The hotels were wonderful and our transportation seamless. I attached a picture of us in, well, Oslo;) You have been a tremendous help in planning our trip, Susie. In particular, Lori and I have appreciated your advice, guidance, and efficiency. You have helped to make our travel dreams come true! Thank you!

We were very fortunate to have almost perfect weather throughout the entire tour. Only one day did we have rain (for only 1hr) and another day was cloudy. The remaining days were clear and sunny. Norway was by far the most beautiful country - the fjords were breathtaking. Stalheim was also an amazing place. Juan Dominguez was a fantastic tour guide and took us to many areas off the beaten path. He knew all of Scandinavia very well. Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo and Stockholm are all amazing cities - each with their own uniqueness and charm.

I took a trip to Scandinavia through NORDIC SAGA. We visited Denmark, Norway, Stockholm and Helsinki. Everything about the tour was exceptional. They arranged the flights, transport to and from the airports, had superb hotels and a number of wonderful optional tours. Included in the tour was a ferry ride on a fjord. Our tour guide was with us from Copenhagen through Helsinki. Juan, our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to travel with. We had many local tours with local guides and sometimes Juan was our local guide. Other people on the tour booked through different companies and were amazed to find out that NORDIC SAGA listed all the optional tours on the website that the other companies failed to list. I definitely would travel with NORDIC SAGA again. It is a first class operation.

Dear Susie,
Thank you for helping us plan our trip to Scandinavia. We enjoyed seeing Denmark, Norway, and Finland with your company. Our tour was just over a week long, and we were able to experience so much. Our guide, Jon, was extremely helpful and knew his way around like the back of his hand. Loved seeing the Senate Square, Uspenskij Cathedral, Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, and Sibelius Park in Helsinki. Also enjoyed our time on the Silja Line ferry. The Viking Museum, the Munch Museum in Oslo were some of my favorite museums. I have nothing to complain about other than maybe the weather the last couple of days, but that couldn't be avoided. Overall, our Scandinavian tour was a lot of fun. Thanks!

I just returned from a 16 day Scandinavian trip which I booked through Nordic Saga. My agent Bobby from Nordic Saga planned my group trip and I want to commend him on a fantastic, incredible, and unbelievable job he did. It was my first time leading a group of 35 and during the planning stages Bobby kept assuring me that I had nothing to worry about. He was correct. Everything went smoothly, the hotels were gorgeous and restaurant’s breakfasts were delicious and impressive. The buses for excursions were first class and always prompt. Our tour guides were fabulous. Bobby went above and beyond with the difficult last minute task of changing our flights to leave 2 days earlier due to Hurricane Dorian. His persistence and hard work in accomplishing this was greatly appreciated considering the fact that there were so few flights available due to the hurricane. He is to be complimented and praised for making this trip a wonderful experience and giving us so many beautiful memories. I highly recommend Bobby and Nordic Saga.

We went on Fabulous Scandinavia and Helsinki tour last spring with a group of friends. It was a very very exciting trip! We enjoyed the way it was organized, the choices of the hotels and sightseeing excursions. We were treated with a huge variety of scenery and history, and a plenty of opportunities for a fun time . Some of the places in the itinerary were beyond beautiful.

Hi Alex,
I hope all is well at the office. I just wanted to check in and let you know how much my wife and I appreciated your help planning the tour of Scandinavia we went on in July. Everything was totally hassle free and I'm glad we were able to put our trust in the hands of an expert, because we would have been completely lost without you! Everything was great, really. Our guide, Erik, was spectacular and so energetic. I don't know how he was able to keep up with our group and talk, talk, talk and never let it phase him. Very impressive. He made it worthwhile for us I think because he was so pleasant to be around each day. Bonnie and I formed friendships with a few other couples who were also on the tour and we've already emailed with each other a few times since returning home. Experiencing the Scandinavian region with my wife was very special. We just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and our goal is to travel to every continent and explore as many regions together as we can. Those two weeks seeing Denmark, Norway, and Sweden were just perfect. More places we can check off our list! Thanks again for everything, Alex. I'd definitely recommend Nordic Saga Tours to friends or anyone hoping to travel Scandinavia with ease.

The guides, drivers, hotels and general organization were great. I especially have to mention Maria (Marsha) Ganina (St Petersburg) who was the best guide I have ever had on a tour - and as you know, I have travelled extensively. She was even able to find and return my umbrella to me after I left it in the left-luggage store at the Hermitage! Wonderful person and extraordinarily well-versed in the history of St P's and Russia in general. She became a friend to all of us in a professional manner.
