The Faroe Islands, our little green gem of a country, is only a short 2-hour flight from Copenhagen. Upon arrival with the national airline, you will be greeted by your guide for the stay. Transfer time to the capital of Tórshavn is less than an hour, and will take you along the scenic mountain road that is a great introduction to what the country has to offer.
After check-in at Hotel Djurhuus (2 nights) you are invited to join the scheduled sightseeing tour of the old part of Tórshavn, followed by a short bus journey to the cultural center of Kirkjubøur. The village of Kirkjubøur is characterized by their thatched grass roofs and rich history, and famous for the ruins of the St. Magnus Cathedral.

Today you will go to the village of Vestmanna for a boat cruise to the beautiful Sea Cliffs – a top destination within the country. The boat cruise will give you a unique experience of the magnitude of nature when sailing along the towering sea cliffs, home to a larger number of special inhabitants – the seabirds of course. The waves breaking in the caves will keep you mesmerized, and if the weather allows it, you will get at chance to sail through one of them. The trip takes about 2 hours, and afterwards a lunch buffet will be served in the restaurant at Vestmanna Visitor Center. The program will finish mid-afternoon.

In the far north are the islands of Borðoy and Kunoy, which are our destinations for the day. En route to the fishing capital of the country, Klaksvík, we visit the village museum in Nes, Toftir. Richer and more enlightened on the history of Nes, Toftir we continue the day north, through the sub-sea tunnel between Eysturoy and Borðoy. Make a point of noticing the lights at the bottom of the tunnel, which are an artwork by famous local artist Tróndur Patursson.
After a short sightseeing trip in the city of Klaksvík, we visit the island of Kunoy.

Before flying home, it's time to meet a "local" - We have set up a meeting with a farmer from Bøur and he tells about life on the islands and in the village where he lives.
Then it's time to say goodbye and we hope that the trip will be a really good experience and we'll just say "see you again".
