Direct flight to the Faroe Islands. Transfer to hotel in Tórshavn. After check inn, enjoy a walk around Tórshavn and drop into one of the cafés or bars where you will find the locals relaxing.
Pick up at the accommodation. Boat trip to the Vestmanna sea cliffs. From Tórshavn we drive to the village of Vestmanna where we go on a 2 hours boat trip. We sail close to the vertical cliffs, into grottos and through narrow sounds – a fabulous experience - remember your camera.
En route back to Tórshavn, we make a stop at an old Viking farmstead in the beautiful and quaint village of Kvívík. Here we will see an old excavation of 2 viking longhouses. This will give you a small insight into what daily life was like in Viking times.
We drive via the mountain road back to Tórshavn and make a few photostops.
The evening is at your own leisure, but we suggest dinner at Restaurant Áarstova, an old protected building in the old part of town.
Pick up at the accommodation. Sandoy is one of the most unspoiled islands where one can still experience the traditional Faroese lifestyle. Experience a church visit, fantastic scenic views and small villages.
Before returning to Tórshavn you will make a stop in Kirkjubøur which is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural centre. The picturesque old farm is home to a family who for 17 generations have run the farmstead and ecclesiastic site. See the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the small medieval church of St.Olav.
The evening is at your own leisure, but we suggest dinner at one of the other restaurants in the old part of town.
