Itinerary:

Our Best Selling Tour of Norway and the Fjords

Day 1  : ARRIVE IN BERGEN

Upon arrival in Bergen, transfer to the hotel. Bergen is Norway's second-largest city, often referred to as the capital of the west and gateway to the fjords. It is on a UNESCO World Heritage list. Its main attractions are Bryggen Wharf, Mount Fløien, and the fish market.

Meet your fellow travelers and tour escort at 7:50 pm in the hotel lobby, right before dinner.

Dinner and accommodation at the newly renovated Clarion Hotel Admiral, located in an old warehouse building dating back to 1904, right in the heart of Bergen near the harbor.

Day 2  : BERGEN – SOGNEFJORD - BALESTRAND

After breakfast, we take a private coach to Voss, where we board the train on the spectacular Flåm Railway. From Flåm, we take a fjord cruise on the spectacular Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen and enjoy the views of the world's most beautiful landscapes, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Continue driving through the Stalheim and the Vika Mountains to Vangsnes for the short ferry crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand.

Dinner and accommodation at Kvikne's Hotel, superbly located on the banks of the fjord and surrounded by mountains.

Day 3  : BALESTRAND – A DAY IN THE FJORDS

A free day in Balestrand gives you the opportunity to relax in the outstanding nature of the Norwegian fjords. You may spend the morning reading on the hotel terrace, surrounded by the fresh mountain air and spectacular views, or visit a local aquarium and art gallery. A hike to the nearest mountains is also a good option. No matter what you do, you will always remember the day in Balestrand.

Dinner and accommodations at Kvikne’s Hotel.

Day 4  : BALESTRAND – BRIKSDAL GLACIER - GEIRANGER

Today we take a ferry Dragsvik to Hella and a scenic tour along the northern shore of the Sognefjord to Sogndal. We then proceed driving to Fjærland, below the Jostedal Glacier. On to Olden, then we visit the Briksdal Glacier in "Troll Cars" and enjoy a traditional Norwegian lunch in a local restaurant with glacier views.

In the afternoon, we drive through Loen and Stryn to the charming village of Hellesylt. From here, we take a Geirangerfjord cruise. Geirangerfjord is one of the narrowest in Norway. You will love the deep blue waters and green valleys around, and you will also see magnificent "Seven Sisters" and the "Bridal Veil" waterfalls.

Dinner and accommodations at the excellent Union Hotel Geiranger, overlooking the Geirangerfjord.

Day 5  : GEIRANGER - OSLO

After breakfast, we take the roads that twist and turn through one hairpin bend after another. We come to the Geiranger Skywalk - Mt. Dalsnibba - to experience stunning views of the fjords, then we cross the rugged Grotli Mountains to Lom, well known for its 14th-century stave church. Continue via Lake Vågå, before descending the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to the popular tourist town of Lillehammer. Drive alongside Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake, and arrive in Oslo, the capital, situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord.

Dinner and accommodations at Clarion Hotel The Hub, centrally located close to the Karl Johan shopping boulevard.

Day 6  : OSLO

Buffet breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your schedule, you might have free time before departure. We suggest you stroll along Aker Brygge pier, where you will find numerous restaurants and tour boats on the Oslo Fjord. You may also visit Edward Munch Museum or explore Oslo's old and modern architecture.

Transfer on your own to the airport for your flight home or next destination.
