Meet your tour leader for a briefing before departure.

At 10:00, depart by coach for Oslo Airport and your group flight to Evenes, departing at 13:20 (included). Upon arrival at Evenes/Harstad–Narvik Airport at 15:00, meet your private coach and begin a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of Northern Norway to Sortland.

Arrive in Sortland at approximately 17:30 and check in at Scandic Sortland.

Travel to Andenes, the northernmost town in the Vesterålen archipelago and one of Europe's premier whale-watching destinations. Embark on an exciting whale safari in the rich Arctic waters, where you may encounter sperm whales, humpback whales, orcas and other marine wildlife in their natural environment. Visit the Whale Center and Museum to learn about the biology, behaviour and migration of these magnificent creatures, before returning through the beautiful landscapes of Vesterålen.

Start a panoramic tour of the Lofoten Islands with your tour leader. First stop: Lofotr Viking Museum at Borg for a guided tour – discover the world of the first skilled craftsmen to settle in Lofoten, row a Viking ship, and learn how stockfish has been traded here for over 1,000 years. Continue to Svolvær, the capital of the Lofoten archipelago, nestled between the dramatic geometry of sea and towering Arctic peaks. In the evening, optional Trollfjord Silent Cruise sailing past the Fisherman’s Wife statue and through the majestic fjord.

Early departure by fast ferry from Harstad to Tromsø, enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery of Northern Norway along the way. As the ferry travels through the sheltered waters and between islands and fjords, take in the spectacular views of rugged mountains, charming coastal communities, and the Arctic landscape.

Arrive in Tromsø, known as the “Gateway to the Arctic” and one of Northern Norway’s most vibrant cities. With its lively atmosphere, colorful architecture, cafés, restaurants, and rich polar history, Tromsø is a wonderful place to explore at your own pace.

The remainder of the day is free for independent exploration. Visit the charming city center, browse the local shops, or discover some of Tromsø’s fascinating Arctic heritage.

Depart Tromsø and begin your journey north along the scenic E8 and E6 highways, one of Norway’s most spectacular road journeys. The route winds through dramatic Arctic landscapes, with rugged mountains, deep fjords, peaceful valleys, and small coastal communities along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints, take photographs, and experience the quiet beauty of northern Norway.

As you travel farther north, the landscape becomes increasingly remote and untouched. Keep an eye out for reindeer, traditional Sami settlements, and glimpses of everyday life in the Arctic. During the summer months, the midnight sun casts a golden glow over the mountains and fjords, creating a magical atmosphere and allowing you to enjoy the scenery well into the night.

The drive from Tromsø to Alta is a memorable Arctic adventure, combining spectacular scenery with a wonderful sense of wilderness and discovery. Arrive in Alta in the evening and check into your hotel.

Depart Alta for a full day of unforgettable Arctic experiences as you travel north toward the dramatic landscapes of Finnmark and the legendary North Cape. Your first stop is the Alta Museum, home to one of Northern Europe’s most important collections of prehistoric rock carvings. Dating back thousands of years to the Stone and Bronze Ages, the carvings offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives, beliefs, and traditions of the people who inhabited this remote region. The rock art site is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continue your journey north across the vast and beautiful landscapes of Finnmark, where rugged mountains, open plateaus, fjords, and Arctic tundra stretch as far as the eye can see. Cross onto Magerøya Island and make your way to Honningsvåg, the northernmost city in mainland Norway and the gateway to the North Cape.

In the evening, continue to the spectacular North Cape plateau, perched dramatically above the Arctic Ocean. Standing nearly 300 meters (1,000 feet) above the sea, the famous North Cape cliff offers breathtaking views toward the open Arctic Ocean and a true sense of being at the edge of Europe. During the summer months, experience the magical midnight sun illuminating the landscape and horizon long after midnight.

Your visit to the North Cape Hall includes time to explore the exhibitions and panoramic viewing areas, as well as a glass of sparkling wine to toast your journey to one of Europe’s most iconic northern landmarks.

Bid farewell to the northernmost point of Europe and begin your journey south toward Finland, following the scenic E69 and E6 through the remote landscapes of Norway’s far north. Known for its dramatic Arctic scenery and seemingly endless wilderness, this route offers spectacular views of rugged mountains, fjords, open tundra, and vast, sparsely populated landscapes.

Continue through Lakselv and onward to Karasjok, the cultural heart of the Sami people in Norway. Take time to discover the rich traditions and heritage of the indigenous Sami culture, with opportunities to learn about their traditional way of life and browse locally made handicrafts and unique Sami artefacts.

Cross the border into Finland and continue toward Inari, entering the Finnish Lapland. As you travel east, you will also cross into the Eastern European Summer Time zone (EEST), moving your clocks one hour forward.

Visit the renowned Siida Museum, the Finnish national museum dedicated to Sami culture and the Arctic environment. Through its exhibitions, learn about the close relationship between the Sami people, nature, and the changing northern environment, as well as the traditions and contemporary life of the indigenous people of Lapland.

Continue to Ivalo Airport, where you will have some free time to relax and enjoy dinner before your evening flight to Helsinki, departing at approximately 21:00 and arriving at 23:45.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel at approximately 09:30 and board your coach for the short journey into Helsinki city centre.

Upon arrival, meet your local guide and set out on a two-hour sightseeing tour of Finland’s vibrant capital. Explore the elegant Senate Square, the historic heart of Helsinki, surrounded by neoclassical buildings and dominated by the impressive Helsinki Cathedral. Continue to Kauppatori, the lively Market Square on the waterfront, where you can experience a taste of local life and browse stalls offering Finnish specialties, seasonal produce, and handicrafts.

Continue along the harbour and see some of Helsinki’s most distinctive landmarks, including the magnificent Uspenski Cathedral, viewed from the exterior. Your tour also takes in other highlights of the waterfront and city centre, providing an introduction to Helsinki’s unique blend of Nordic design, maritime heritage, and historic architecture.

After the tour, enjoy some free time in the city before transferring to the ferry terminal. Board your overnight cruise at approximately 15:30 and settle into your Seaview A-class cabin.

Arrive in Stockholm, beautifully known as the “Venice of the North,” a captivating city spread across 14 islands where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. Begin your introduction to Sweden’s elegant capital with a three-hour panoramic sightseeing tour accompanied by a local guide.

Discover the historic heart of Stockholm as you explore Gamla Stan, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval old towns. Wander through its charming narrow streets and picturesque squares while learning about the city’s fascinating history. See the impressive Royal Palace, the official residence of the Swedish monarch, as well as Stockholm Cathedral and the Swedish Parliament, known as the Riksdag.

Continue to Djurgården Island for a visit to the world-famous Vasa Museum. Here, admire the remarkably preserved 17th-century warship Vasa, which sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged more than 300 years later. The museum brings the ship’s dramatic story to life and offers a fascinating glimpse into Sweden’s maritime history and life during the 17th century.
