After the cruise, we will continue driving north. Along the way, we pass the famous Eagle Road, the steepest part of the road up the mountain from Geiranger to Eidsdal on the road no. 63. From the Geirangerfjord up to Korsmyra, 620 meters above sea level and the highest point on the stretch, the road makes 11 sharp turns. The road became an attraction from the first day it opened. It was called Eagle Road because, at its highest point, it went through a place where many eagles nested. As part of the "Nasjonal Turistveg" project, the viewpoint was recently fixed and opened with a small ceremony on June 21, 2006.
From Eidsdal to Linge, there is a short ferry ride, and then you reach Troll's Road, an exciting set of 11 hairpin turns that go down the mountain. A real piece of art with breathtaking views.
