Your main luggage will be picked up at your hotel in Oslo and safely transferred to your hotel in Bergen.
Walk from your hotel in Oslo a short distance to the Central Railway Station, next to the Opera House. Depart Oslo on a scenic train ride, passing towns and farm country as well as the highest point on the railway, Finse at 1222 meters above sea level. When you arrive at Myrdal you need to change trains, boarding the famous, Flåm railway, an engineering marvel winding its way down to the picturesque village of Flåm. At one of the stops you can get off the train to take pictures of the waterfall above. Arriving in Flåm, it is a very short walk from the train to the boat for a cruise out the Aurlandsfjord and in through the Nærøyfjord to the little town of Gudvangen, these fjords are spectacular, very narrow with steep mountains on all sides. In Gudvangen you board the bus that takes you up the many hairpin turns to Stalheim before reaching Voss. In Voss you leave the bus at the rail station board the train to Bergen. Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day in the colorful city of Bergen. Day free to use your hop-on / hop-off bus pass to explore the city at your own pace. This comfortable open top bus will take you around Bergen, passing many famous attractions and places to visit on the way, including Bryggen, The Fish Market, Bergen Aquarium, Bergen Museum, The Grieg Hall, The Funicular Mount Floyen and many others. Norway Coastal Cruise
Breakfast and check-out. Explore the day on your own in Bergen before departing on the Coastal Voyage at 8:00 p.m. It's also a great place to interact with locals and take some amazing pictures. If the weather was bad yesterday, you'll have another opportunity to ride the funicular to the views atop Mt. Fløien. Experience the Guided kayak trip in Bergen (optional).
Later, head to the pier, and board the authentic Hurtigruten Cruise ship. Spend overnight on board in an outside cabin, cruise through beautiful coastal scenery towards Alesund. Overnight onboard Hurtigruten ship.

Once you arrive in Alesund, disembark, then check in to your hotel. Alesund is situated on Fjord Norway's western coast. It's a beautiful town that's bordered by a picturesque archipelago of islands, as well as fjords and mountain tops. The best transport in Alesund – is just your feet! You'll have the whole day to explore the city as you wish. Overnight in Alesund.
Breakfast and check-out. Today, we travel like a local and discover the traditional way to explore the fjords. This beautiful journey from Alesund to Geiranger is around 120 km passing through three distinctive Fjords and spectacular landscapes. Enjoy the three-hour cruise with a cup of coffee and light refreshments while traveling from the ocean to the fjord. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel.
Explore on your own. Dalsnibba is one of Geiranger’s main attractions and is a very popular mountain top with visitors to the area. From the Dalsnibba plateau there is a breath-taking view across the most beautiful World Heritage Site. Overnight in Geiranger.
Early breakfast & check-out. Then take a seat on the bus back to Åndalsnes. This is the most dramatic and scenic route leg in Norway, this is why it is called The Golden Route! Keep your cameras ready, you will have photo stops at The Eagle’s bend and a longer stop at Trollstigen café and viewpoints.
Bus from Geiranger to Åndalsnes daily in the period June 25 – August 19. “The Golden Route” is one of the most spectacular sightseeing routes in Norway. 85 kilometers with beautiful views. On you way you will pass dramatic mountains, small lakes, creeks and waterfalls. The bus makes a stop at Trollstigen plateau, where you will have 25 minutes to visit the viewpoints.
Board the spectacular Rauma Railway along the Rauma River towards Dombas. The Rauma railway is 114 km long and offers amazing views of the passing scenery. One of the highlights of the tour is the Kylling Bridge, the most famous and photographed stone railway bridge in NorwayAt Dombas mountain station, change to the main Dovre line to Lillehammer through the scenic Gudbrandsdal valley. Overnight in Lillehammer.
Breakfast and check-out. Lillehammer hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. We recommend a visit to Maihaugen Open Air Museum, which tells the story of local Gudbrandsdalen people during the last 300 years, explores the homes and domestic environments in the 20th century. We also recommend a visit to the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Arena (Lysgårdsbakken). Later in evening depart to Oslo/Oslo airport** by train. ** Depending upon your travel plans, overnight accommodation in Oslo or near Oslo Airport.
