Rovaniemi Winter Experience
Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Rovaniemi, the capital of the Finnish Lapland. Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24-hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days. The hustle and bustle of towns and ski resorts is just minutes away from the peace and quiet of the wilderness.
Upon your arrival at Rovaniemi Airport, look for your personal driver holding a signboard with your name in the arrivals hall. Enjoy a smooth transfer to your comfortable hotel located right in the city center.
After checking in, take some time to settle into your room or take a stroll to explore the charming town center.
Northern Lights Adventure
In the evening, join a Northern Lights hunting tour, complete with a light BBQ by an open fire under the night sky. Enjoy the fresh winter air and a chance to see the Northern Lights dancing on the sky. You will be taken to the nearby wilderness where you will have minimum or no light pollution. We really enjoyed our trip to Scandinavia with your company. Nordic Saga Tours is very professional and we really felt like we were in good hands the entire time. The tours in each city went according to plan and other than the long delay in Oslo, all of the lunches were well thought out and timed well according to each activity every day. Our favorite stops were probably in Stockholm and Balestrand. The fjords in Scandinavia are way too beautiful! We took endless photos… They’re something everyone should get a chance to see in their lifetime! We don’t have any complaints about the hotels, other than maybe the staff at the Union Hotel… Nothing major, they just didn’t seem as friendly as the staff in other hotels. Overall, we had a great time, Alex. Thank you again. I’d have no problem recommending Nordic Saga Tours to anyone hoping to travel Scandinavia. :)
