Guided Food & Cultural Walk (3 hours)
Use all of your senses to experience Bergen. This tour will teach you about Bergen's history and culture and introduce you to the flavors of local cuisine. Bergen is on the UNESCO Heritage List since 1979. Bryggen, the old wharf of Bergen, is a remnant of its importance as part of the Hanseatic League’s trading empire from the 14th to the mid-16th century. Throughout history, the characteristic wooden houses of Bryggen have been destroyed by many fires. Its rebuilding has traditionally followed old patterns and methods, thus leaving its main structure preserved, a relic of an ancient wooden urban structure once standard in Northern Europe. Today, some 62 buildings remain of this former townscape. Your local guide will lead you around the town's historic district, and there will be five stops along the way where you can sample the local fare.

Sonia and I feel very fortunate to have found Nordic Saga Tours online when we first started talking about wanting to plan a trip to Scandinavia. Working with you has been a treat and we both really appreciated your friendly demeanor and how you asked all of the right questions to get this vacation going smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventures through Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm, and everywhere in between! The hotels were very comfortable, no complaints there, and centrally located which was a nice bonus. For those two weeks, having the reservations for dinner each night and how the sightseeing tours were all organized in advance for us, we were able to devote all of our time to simply enjoying ourselves rather than rushing around and planning and worrying about missing out on any cool locations in each city. While we were definitely exhausted each night, it was worth it. We appreciated the professional way in which the planning and preparations were managed and we feel confident in recommending Nordic Saga Tours to anyone intending to travel to Scandinavia in the future. Many thanks for making it all so easy!

I have been waiting to receive a questionnaire or a mail from you regarding the tour I took with you in June, but I never received anything so I write to you.
Thank you very much for a wonderful, punctual, extremely professional and well organized trip. We didn´t have to wait a single minute for a guide or transit, everywhere we went we had already been expected or someone was about to come and pull out a name sign. The times you indicated in your information were perfect to either avoid crowds or get there in time. The program was well chosen and helped get a perfect first impression. As promised the guides could either communicated in English or German.
If you want to be recommended on any homepage feel free to ask, I will happily give you 100 points in everything.
My wife and I just returned from the trip to Scandinavia that you so efficiently put together. From the time we landed in Copenhagen on July 30th and until we got to Stockholm on August 8th, the entire trip was so comfortable and smooth. Thanks to you, we had absolutely no problem anywhere we went. Whether it was hotel reservation or bus travel, whether it was the cruise connection or the breakfast at the hotel, at Stockholm, at Copenhagen, at Oslo and at Bergen, everything was well coordinated. The vouchers and the air tickets were accepted everywhere without any hitch. We want to compliment you for the excellent service you provided considering the fact there were three different countries and many different languages that we had to encounter! Keep up the good work and thanks again for our amazing Scandinavian vacation!!
