Day 1  : Arrive in Longyearbyen

When you get to Svalbard Airport, take the airport shuttle bus to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Longyearbyen on your own. You may visit the Svalbard Museum and learn about Svalbard's history as a place where people went hunting and mining or take a guided tour of Longyearbyen.

Day 2  : Icefjorden Cruise and Russian Settlement

In the morning, take a guided boat tour to the Isfjord to see huge cliffs full of birds and Arctic animals. You will most likely meet beluga whales, seals, walruses, and polar bears*.  

The tour continues to the small Russian town of Barentsburg, where you have about two hours free to explore on your own. Then we head to the Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel to enjoy a 2-course lunch.

After lunch, an optional 2-hour guided hike is available in the afternoon (Mon-Fri). For those who would like to relax after today’s adventure, you can visit the hotel´s Arctic spa and sauna. In the evening, an included dinner will be served.

Day 3  : Boat Safari to Longyearbyen

Spend the morning at leisure at the hotel with a tasty breakfast and a fantastic view over the Kapp Linné bird reserve. After breakfast, you can go on an optional 4-hour hike with a guide before taking a boat ride back to Longyearbyen at 13:30. Lunch prior to the boat transfer is included.

Day 4  : Husky Safari on Wheels

Enjoy breakfast before joining a lovely Arctic summer activity—a husky safari on wheels! In the morning, the guide will take you to the kennel, where about 90 cheerful Alaskan huskies eagerly wait for you to take them for a run. Then, after a short lesson on the logistics of “mushing,” it’s your turn to go for a ride. Spend the day relaxing in Longyearbyen, strolling around town, and paying a visit to the Svalbard Gallery. You can also enjoy a leisurely break at a cafe.

Day 5  : Return to Oslo

Before leaving this fantastic place, you will have some free time for  last-minute souvenir shopping in Longyearbyen. A shuttle bus will take you to the airport, where you board a flight to Oslo. (breakfast)
