For many years I have been dreaming to visit Iceland and Greenland and to have a glimpse of the origins of the Vikings. This tour was exactly how I expected it to be. All was very well organized – before the tour and during it. I was surprised how smoothly everything was managed. All the information provided by Nordic Saga company before the trip was very useful and made this trip relaxing. The guide Gunar was fantastic . His knowledge and passion for his job were remarkable. The Viking ruins made quite an impression on me as well as the scenery in Greenland, the icebergs, the fjords, and the friendly local people. It was fascinating to get an insight of the life in this isolated corner of the world.

We, and our adult children, enjoyed the entire experience from Stockholm, to Helsinki, to St Petersburg and back through Tallin. We learned and saw so much in a short time. Maria was a great resource and kept us moving through a packed itinerary in St Petersburg. I would like to have learned more about the post-Czar period but we were pretty busy as it was. Only drag was the sometime long lines and waiting at customs in each port. – Lawrence Larsen -

This was a great tour to visit key areas of Iceland, understand the culture and try to see the Northern Lights. We had a great time and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on a boat tour in the Reykjavik harbor. Our tour guide, Stanart Swenson (spelling?), was fabulous – great knowledge of Iceland and a great sense of humor! Our trip agent, Alex, also did a great job in handling our reservation.
