A short transfer by taxi will take you from the hotel to the Cable Car Station.  Board a gondola, and in just four minutes you will be transported 421 m above sea level to experience Tromso’s best view.  Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromso and the surrounding islands, mountains and fjords.

Breakfast at the hotel.  Today, you embark on a scenic journey from Tromso to Alta — a route renowned for its breathtaking beauty in every season. Dramatic coastlines, pristine fjords, and unspoiled Arctic landscapes accompany you throughout the day, creating an experience that lingers long after the journey ends.

The distance between Tromso and Alta is approximately 300 km and takes around eight hours, including two ferry crossings that offer additional opportunities to admire the surrounding scenery from the water. A two-course lunch is included and will be served en route at Bios Café Storslett (beverages not included). Upon arrival in Alta, check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.   

SHARED OPTIONAL HORSE SLEIGH RIDE UNDER THE NORTHERN LIGHTS (4 Hours)

You will be picked up in Alta and taken to a charming farm in the nearby countryside. Upon arrival, step aboard a traditional sleigh and settle in beneath warm blankets, embracing the crisp Arctic air.
Your sleigh is drawn by a Norwegian Fjord Horse — a sturdy and gentle breed that has been part of rural life in Norway for centuries. As you glide peacefully through forested trails and along the banks of the Alta River, the soft sound of sleigh bells accompanies the serene winter landscape. Towards the end of the ride, you will arrive at a cosy wilderness shelter for a well-deserved pause. Here, a three-course dinner will be served around the fire in an intimate and atmospheric setting. The shelter’s half-wall design protects from the elements while still allowing you to enjoy the surrounding Arctic scenery. As you savour your meal, your hosts will share local stories and insights into life in the region. With favourable conditions, you may even have the opportunity to capture photographs of the enchanting Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
After this memorable evening, you will return to the farm before being transferred back to Alta.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your Tour Director in the lobby of your hotel for a short 20-minute transfer into the peaceful countryside. The family-owned Sorrisniva is ideally located to maximise your chances of witnessing the magnificent Aurora Borealis between September and March.

During your visit, discover the remarkable Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel — the world’s northernmost ice hotel, rebuilt entirely from snow and ice each year with a unique artistic theme. Step inside and admire the intricate, handcrafted ice sculptures, beautifully illuminated to enhance the atmosphere.

Enjoy a moment of tranquillity as you explore this frozen gallery, sip a signature drink served in an ice glass at the bar, and experience the silence and serenity that make this place truly special. Every detail, from the walls to the décor, is sculpted from pure snow and ice. As a possible grand finale, thanks to the hotel’s privileged location and favourable weather conditions, there is a strong possibility of witnessing the Northern Lights on the return journey — a magical spectacle that may well become the highlight of your Arctic evening.

Your experience begins with a delicious lunch — the perfect way to recharge before your thrilling husky adventure unfolds. Yet this is more than a simple meal; it is a sensory introduction to the region. Gathered around the table, you will discover the flavours, aromas, textures, and stories behind each carefully selected ingredient. Inspired by nature and local traditions, the seasonal menu reflects the essence of the Arctic, and your hosts will gladly share their knowledge and passion. After lunch, you will receive clear and concise instructions on how to handle and drive a dog sled, ensuring you feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead.

Then it is time to meet the true stars of the day — the friendly and energetic Alaskan huskies, eagerly awaiting you in the enclosure. Their excited anticipation fills the air as they stand ready in front of the sleds, prepared to run. You may feel a similar thrill building within yourself. The gate opens. The dogs leap forward. And suddenly — silence. A remarkable, almost magical silence, broken only by the rhythmic sound of paws and sled runners gliding across the snow. You guide the sled, fully engaged in the moment, while the dogs focus instinctively on the task they know so well. Together, you move through the Arctic landscape in perfect harmony.

Over the years, this remarkable place has evolved into a true gem of personal architecture, reflecting a deep commitment to beauty and an enduring passion for craftsmanship. The Juhls Silver gallery family expresses its creativity through a variety of artistic forms, with jewellery design becoming its most distinctive and celebrated focus. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire a curated selection of their unique pieces — each one still meticulously handcrafted in their workshop, preserving traditions passed down through generations.

You will then have free time for lunch (not included) in Kautokeino before continuing your journey onwards to Levi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Your guide will assist you with the collection of the thermal clothing.

A silent, snow-covered forest… a nocturnal fell at the edge of vast wilderness… and, above you, the magical Northern Lights.

Take your seat in a heated Aurora sleigh and settle in for a truly memorable evening. Your guide will tow the sleigh by snowmobile through a moonlit and starlit winter landscape, ascending to the top of the fell — far from residential areas and light pollution — where the Arctic sky reveals its full splendour. Upon arrival, cameras are prepared as you turn your gaze towards the northern night sky. Wrapped in warmth and comfort, you gather by the fire with hot drinks in hand, listening to local stories while waiting for the Aurora to make its appearance.

Should conditions be favourable, you may witness the mesmerising dance of the Northern Lights overhead — an unforgettable highlight of your Arctic experience.

You will also have the opportunity to observe the reindeer up close in their natural surroundings and hand-feed them — a truly authentic Arctic experience.

AURORA SNOWSHOE SHARED TOUR (2,5 Hours)

Meeting with the guide to begin this amazing activity. In the quiet forest, snow crunches beneath your snowshoes as you walk past trees heavy with snow, under the light of the moon and stars. At the fell, a cozy hut offers warmth, snacks, and drinks while you wait — hopefully — to witness the magical dance of the Northern Lights across the sky.

Leave the last remains of your everyday cares behind you and sit behind the handlebars of a snowmobile.  On the snowmobile safari, you will receive a good understanding of the nature of Lapland during the winter. The breathtakingly beautiful landscape of the forest, the powdery snowdrifts, and the trees bowing down under the weight of the snow line your route that takes you comfortably away from the bustle of the village of Saariselkä. 
*Note: To drive a snowmobile in Finland you must have a valid driver’s license from a country of issue which has signed the Road Traffic Convention of Geneva.

Sea Lapland is one of the rare places in the world where the sea completely freezes during winter. Enjoy an unforgettable adventure of sea, snow, and ice on a cruise across the frozen Gulf of Bothnia. Let the magic of the Arctic landscape truly captivate you. During the cruise, the crew presents the history of this remarkable vessel and guides you through the ship, from the Captain’s Bridge down to the engine room. Lunch on board. Feel the crisp Arctic air on deck or relax indoors at the Icebreaker Bar, surrounded by icy scenery. Before returning to port, the ship makes a one-hour stop, allowing guests to take part in a unique ice-floating experience — right in the middle of the largest ice field in Europe. Float in the icy waters, safely and comfortably dressed in a thermal survival suit.

*The ice-floating experience requires a minimum height of 140 cm for safety reasons.

The adventure continues as you travel to Rovaniemi, located directly on the Arctic Circle. The capital of Finnish Lapland and official hometown of Santa Claus, Rovaniemi, has a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants. Home to more than 100 friendly Siberian Huskies, the park invites visitors to enjoy authentic husky safaris, meet the dogs up close, and gain insight into life in the Arctic. A magical encounter with the spirit of the North, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Experience the beauty of Lapland from the comfort of a sled. Sit back and relax as the guide drives the husky team through peaceful Arctic landscapes. Let your senses unwind in the surrounding silence and pristine scenery. After the safari, spend time in the kennel area meeting the other dogs — all purebred Siberian Huskies. Each sled accommodates 3–5 guests, with the final seating arrangements determined by the guides to ensure safety and comfort.

Operating next to Santa Claus Village for several decades, this family-owned company places strong emphasis on the well-being and natural needs of the dogs. At Husky Park, visitors can observe the daily life of the huskies, from feeding routines to preparing and removing the harnesses. After a short guided walk (approximately 400 meters), you will arrive at Santa Claus Village. Santa Claus has made Lapland in Northern Finland his home for centuries, and the Arctic Circle is especially close to his heart, as many Christmas traditions and secrets are rooted in this magical place. Santa Claus Village is a welcoming destination with plenty to see and experience for visitors of all ages.

Here, you can cross the Arctic Circle and, of course, meet Santa Claus himself — a truly special and memorable moment in the heart of Lapland. After the visit, return transfer to the hotel.

SHARED OPTIONAL EVENING ESCAPE AURORA BOREALIS SAFARI (3 hours)

Join us to experience the magic of the northern nature in the evening twilight. Drive through a beautiful winter landscape in snowmobile headlights before stopping for a break in the middle of the pitch-dark forest. While the guide makes a campfire, listen to the stories and facts about the Northern Lights. Enjoy a Lappish snack break and grill sausages on the fire while observing the skies above you. With good luck, we may catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
