Northern Lights in Camp Tamok
In the evening, you will be transferred from city center to Camp Tamok for your overnight stay and Northern Light activities. The camp is located in a different climate zone. Here, you find stable dry weather with many days of clear sky. Due to the stable climate of this location the persistent Aurora watcher will have excellent chances of spotting the frail rays of this beauty. Also, in this uninhabited area, no artificial light will disturb your experience or your attempt to capture the Aurora Borealis with your camera. The guide will focus specifically on sharing tips and techniques on how to photograph the Aurora Borealis.
During the visit you will be served a hot meal and enjoy a social time by the open fire in the big Lavvu (Sami herdsmen’s tent). The excursion includes a 2 kilometer hike through the valley at night-time. If the sky is cloudy or there is no sign of the Northern Lights, you will head off on a Northern Lights chase by minibus. There are several hotspots within a short driving distance from the camp.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you so very much for your planning for our trip. It was absolutely fantastic!!!!! The hotel, was wonderful (and you were right, of course, the walk from our hotel to the pick-up site was just a short walk). An unexpected surprise was their buffet dinner, which was welcomed after wonderful days out at Camp Tamok. Everyone we came into contact with, car driver for airport pick-up, hotel staff and most especially the wonderful people at the Camp helped to make this a very special trip. We did get to see the Northern Lights on our first night (on the boat where the captain and his staff were a wonderful introduction to the Norwegian people)!
Again, thank you so much. If you ever need a recommendation for planning someone's trip, we would be more than happy to do so.

Just wanted to let you know we are back from our Iceland and Norway trip. We had a great time, everything worked out as planned. Flights, hotels, timing, the cruise, all were terrific. It was an amazing experience, we loved every minute. Exceeded my expectations.
Thanks for all your help and patience in working with us to plan and arrange everything for this tour of Norway and beyond.
And yes, we came home with 5 sweaters (4 for Anna, one for me)!
Thanks again,
