Tour Itinerary

Geothermal Lagoon – Flower Village – Geothermal Greenhouses

From Keflavik International Airport, we recommend driving the southern coast of the Reykjanes peninsula towards your first overnight stay in the charming village of Hveragerdi. This village is one of the few sites in the world located directly on top of a geothermal area and, because of its many greenhouses heated by hot water from nearby springs, it is often called the “flower village.”

Depending on your arrival time in Iceland, it may be ideal to stop and visit the renowned Blue Lagoon where you can relax in its geothermal waters.

Important:  admission to the Blue Lagoon needs to be booked in advance.

Customer reviews

Ron Kwarz 28 July 2017
We booked a self-drive tour of Iceland with Nordic Saga Tours as we knew this company from our previous tours and trusted it. This time we decided to try a self-drive tour as when travelling we like the freedom to explore what we want and at the pace we want. We got a car, a GPS, SIM card and itinerary on a tablet. We liked the accommodation pre-booked for us. The hotels were typical European hotels, small rooms but with excellent service and good food served at the restaurants. Iceland is very beautiful and it was great fun discovering new landscapes, meeting locals and enjoying ourselves. We loved our trip and can recommend it to everyone.
