Day 1  : Golden Circle

THINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK - GEYSIR GEOTHERMAL VALLEY - GULLFOSS

In the morning,  your driver - guide will pick you up at the designated location and take you to the Golden Circle. The Golden Circle is a drivng route connecting three must-see sites: Thingvellir National Park (the only UNESCO Heritage site in Iceland), Haukadalur geothermal valley with many hot springs, and Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most beautiful attractions.

Our first stop will be the Thingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Iceland, due to its geological and historical importance. There we will explore the plains of Althingi, where Viking Nobles got together in 930 AD to form the first Icelandic parliament, nowadays the longest functioning parliament in the world. Thingvellir park is also the site of the ever-widening gap between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, where you will see the fissure between the continents. Thingvellir will surprise you with a myriad of volcanic rock formations, cascading waterfalls and blue lakes.

The next stop is the legendary Geysir geothermal area with many geysers throwing torrents of boiling water into the air. All geysers around the world got their name from the dormant "Great Geysir". The most active geyser in Iceland is Strokkur routinely propelling water as high as 25 meters into the air. These incredible natural wonders are the symbols of Iceland that every visitor must see. Steaming fumaroles, bubbling hot pools and volcanic vents - all add to an astonishing one-of-a-kind natural site.

From there, we will be heading to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most beautiful and dramatic waterfalls. Water from the Hvítá river falls 32 meters down into the narrow canyon creating a colorful background of rainbows on a sunny day.

From there, we will take you to a hotel in the south of Iceland.

Day 2  : South Coast and Glacial Lagoon

SOUTH COAST - SELJALANDSFOSS - SKOGAFOSS - VIK - JOKULSARLON GLACIER LAGOON

In the morning, we drive along Iceland's majestic South Coast. Our first spot is the spectacular Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. The powerful cascade crashes 60 meters down into a small valley below. There is a secret cave located behind it allowing you to see this sublime waterfall from an entirely different angle.

From there we drive to the stunning *Skogafoss Waterfall, cascading over a volcanic cliff into a gorge beneath. Next, to the falls there is a stunning view of the mountains. Here we can also see rock formations which according to the local legends were trolls mesmerized by the beauty of the falls and turned to stones. After Skogafoss, we continue to a small town of Vik, perched on top of cliffs, offering a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.
