The Lofoten Islands are renowned for excellent fishing, stunning natural attractions such as the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun, and charming villages tucked off the beaten track. Thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, Lofoten enjoys a much milder climate than other regions at the same latitude. Here, you’ll find it all: mountains plunging hundreds of meters into the sea, spectacular fjords, towering peaks, and ancient glaciers — a true paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Tour Itinerary

Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – a country with the most beautiful fjords and nature on Earth! In summer, the midnight sun bathes the region in a never-ending glow, ideal for exploring the hiking trails and fjords at whatever time of day. Upon arrival in OSLO Gardermoen airport, transfer from the airport to hotel on your own. (Optional private transfer available to book) Enjoy a free evening in the city at your own pace.

Meet your Tour Leader at the hotel reception for an informative meeting about your tour before departure.

Depart at 10:00 by private coach for the group flight to Evenes Airport at 13:20 (included) from Oslo Airport. Upon arrival at Evenes/Harstad–Narvik Airport, you will be met by a professional local driver and board a comfortable private coach for the next leg of your journey.

After breakfast, join a RIB or boat tour to see the world’s largest population of white-tailed sea eagles and the famous Trollfjord (departure at 11:00, approximately 2 hours). Along the way, you’ll have the chance to observe a salmon farm up close and learn about the region’s birdlife, history, and natural environment.

After returning, enjoy free time to explore the local culture. You may try local specialties such as stockfish (dried cod), whale steak, or Arctic char, explore the Blue Town concept with its shops and building artwork, or visit the Sortland Museum, which showcases coastal life, fishing traditions, and local history.

For more adventurous travelers, the Steiroheia hike starts near Sortland and offers panoramic views of the town, fjord, and surrounding mountains.  Distance: 4–6 km round trip, Duration: 1.5–2.5 hours, Difficulty: Easy–moderate

In the morning, begin a panoramic tour of Lofoten with your tour leader. The first stop is the Lofotr Viking Museum, where a guided tour will take you back in time to the era of the first skilled craftsmen who settled in Lofoten. You can even try rowing a Viking ship!

Archaeological findings show that stockfish, made primarily from dried skrei (the Atlantic cod that migrates to Lofoten each winter), was first traded by the Vikings over 1,000 years ago. Today, it remains one of the region’s most important exports.

Optional activity: visit the Magic Ice Bar in Svolvær.

We will follow the E10 National Tourist Route, crossing the iconic Lofoten scenery: steep peaks, white sandy beaches, and emerald waters. Along the coast, you will see traditional fishing villages with their characteristic “Rorbu” — red houses often built on stilts, historically used by local fishermen.

In the late afternoon, board your flight at 17:15 back to Oslo Airport, arriving at 19:00. From there, enjoy an easy walk to your hotel for check-in and relaxation after saying goodbye to your Tour Leader.

Bobby,
Hello! I hope you had an enjoyable trip to India.
I'm reaching out to THANK YOU for your hard work in setting up our trip to Finland & Norway. Karen & I had a great time!
We enjoyed your recommendations, especially the Fjord & snowshoe trip in Flam.
The hotels you booked for us were easy to find & usually within walking distance. We especially found the Thon Hotels accommodating & the staff friendly.
The only disappointment was the Culture Food Walk in Bergen. The guide/leader never showed up?
We talked with the Tourist Information Center & they assured us we were in the right place. We organized our day around the tour & felt a little stood up.
We thought it best for you to know, since it was probably paid in advance. In the future, we recommend not booking this tour for other clients.
Other than that small hick-up, our trip was a success!
Here are a few pictures of the fun we had.
Thank you again!
