Bergen is a gateway to the fjords and a city with a rich, fascinating history. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, Bergen has the perfect mix of nature, culture, and exciting city life all year round.
Meet your local guide at the front desk of your hotel at 10:00 am and take a walking tour of Bergen. Walk by the most famous places, like the Hanseatic Bryggen with its Church of Mary, the Hakon fortress, and the famous fish market.
We recommend choosing one of our optional activities to get a real taste of Norway.
Overnight in Bergen (breakfast)
Early in the morning, we will walk to the port in Bergen to catch a boat to Balestrand and enjoy the stunning views of Sognefjord, nicknamed "the King of the Fjords." The cruise takes about 4 hours.
We arrive at Balestrand around noon and take a short walk to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Your escort will let you know when dinner is.

Today is free to enjoy the beutiful nature on yur own or join our optional half-day tour to Fjaerland
From Balestrand to Fjaerland and back, with stops at Byabreen, Supphellebreen, and the Norwegian Glacier Museum. As we sail through the beautiful Fjaerland fjord, we enjoy amazing views of the steep mountains, the green fjord, and the vibrant landscape. Afterward, we reach Fjaerland, where the glacier and the fjord meet. Here, we wait for the shuttle bus to take us to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Enjoy Ivo Caprino's panoramic film about the Jostedalen Glacier and the fascinating exhibition. The trip continues by bus to the Supphellebreen and Byabreen glaciers, and then the bus takes us back to Fjaerland. At the end of the full-day trip, we take a boat back to Hella/Balestrand.
The price for a round-trip includes the coach ride to the glaciers and the entrance to the museum. We recommend you book this trip when you book the tour because we can't guarantee that it will still be available when you get to Norway.
Overnight Balestrand (breakfast, dinner)
Today, your journey continues with a cruise on Sognefjord, Norway's longest and grandest. We will start at 8:55 am with a cruise from Balestrand to Flam.
The first stretch of the fjord, known as Aurlandsfjord, is a 17-kilometer-long arm of the Sognefjord, the second-longest fjord in the world (204 km). It is one of the world's most beautiful fjords in Norway.
After arrival in Flam at 1:35 pm, you will have some free time to explore on your own until we board Flamsbana (Flam Railway) for Myrdal at 4:05 pm. Flamsbanais one of the steepest mountain railways worldwide. The train travels through breathtaking scenery, passing the Rallar road, soaring mountains, majestic waterfalls, and no less than 20 tunnels.
In Myrdal, we change to Bergen Railway for Oslo. Arrive in Oslo at 10: 30 pm.

After breakfast, meet your local guide at the hotel's reception and set out for a 3-hour city tour of this energetic Norwegian capital city.
A guided tour of the city will take you through the Royal Palace, City Hall, Akershus Fortress, Frogner Park with all of Vigeland's sculptures, and the Viking Ships Museum (entry not included), which displays three authentic Viking Age ships.

After breakfast, we travel by high-speed train to Stockholm. Arrival in the city of Stockholm, which is encircled by almost 25.000 little islands.
The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Walk the Swedish capital's streets, the royal family's city, and the main Drottninggatan - Queen Street, with many shops, bars, and cafes.

Meet your local guide at the hotel's front desk before leaving for a 3-hour city tour of Stockholm. Founded on 14 islands and surrounded by the Baltic Sea and Lake Malaren, Stockholm is often called "The Beauty on Water" or "Venice of the North."
The city's impressive public structures, palaces, rich cultural heritage, and museums eloquently illuminate its 700-year-old history. You will visit Gamla Stan (Old Town) as part of your sightseeing tour, where you will be fascinated by cobblestone streets, beutifully preserved old houses and the Royal Palace.
