My daughter and I had a wonderful time! The tour included many highlights but I have to say the boat ride featuring Viking sushi was a surprise and a delight and was definitely a highlight! Loved the itinerary. It packed a lot into a week. Was very disappointed, we were not made aware of luggage charges on JetBlue. Then after traveling all day and night, we waited 5 hours for our key. Our bus driver was excellent; Very skilled. Our guide Andre seemed unprepared, often reading info from the same written material we were given. We even took to checking facts on Google, when he spoke off the top of his head. Our first night in the countryside, Andre told us he would check us into hotel, while we retrieved our luggage, then give out room keys. We stood in the lobby waiting his direction, when he simply went down the hall to his room. He did not know what our problem was! Told us to check in at desk ourselves.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable although distant. I have only been on one tour before, many years ago and the guides were not as knowledgeable, but very friendly and involved with us. All our paperwork advised us and our tour guide advised us that the ice cave adventure cost 230 kroner, but when we went to pay, we were charged 240 kroner. Someone brought this to the guide's attention and he just shrugged his shoulders. People would probably have preferred a specific answer or and "I will look into this" response. More importantly, the most disappointing aspect was the lack of time at the Blue Lagoon. Our reservation was at 6:15 and we only arrived at 6:35.

Overall a great trip. However, would have liked to have more specific information related to activities. For example, when arriving for the husky tour, we were asked which tour we had, how many hours. We did not know, nor did our voucher indicate. Snow hotel would benefit from better communication upon arrival -- we sat in the Gabbi hut (as instructed) for over an hour waiting for a meeting when we could have been touring the hotel and picking room preferences. Description on site about crab fishing excursion did not match up exactly with our experience -- but with only 3 people on our tour, it was very enjoyable --- just wish we could have seen northern lights! – DiAnne Thomas -
