Icefjord Hike & Kapisillit Visit

This tour is for travelers who love the wind in their faces, the salty spray of the sea, and who don’t mind a bit of hiking. We start by sailing 2.5 hours into the eastern part of Nuuk Fjord. We land near the settlement of Kapisillit and hike for approx. 45 min up to the plateau overlooking the Icefjord. There will also be time to visit Kapisillit - the last permanent settlement in Nuuk Region - and meet one of the local families.

Overall, Iceland is a beautiful country and the people are warm and welcoming. I like being active on my vacations and this tour was perfect, especially the glacier hike. hiking around the waterfalls and seeing the geysers was great. My only complaint is that the South Coast of Iceland tour repeated visits to the Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls that we visited before on different tours. I would have preferred to see different attractions or get the glacier faster. They used a minibus to transport us instead of a motor coach bus. It made for two long days of uncomfortable travel. The glacier lagoon boat ride was thrilling! The people at the Radisson Blu and CenterHotel Arnarhvoll could not have been more helpful and polite. I misread the voucher for transport from the hotel to the Blue Lagoon and airport. Pick up at the hotel was highlighted in yellow and I thought we were being picked up at the hotel. I would suggest making the font on the voucher bigger and highlighting BUS STOP pick up. It was a costly mistake for me. This is not in the control of your company - the horseback riding company gave my friend a horse that was "new" to the pack. The horse was not getting along with the other horses and my friend fell off the horse and hurt herself. Again, this has nothing to do with your company, but I would suggest to them to avoid using new horses with their patrons.
